Reverse Advent Calendar 2025

A reverse advent calendar is a way to give back during the Christmas period by collecting donations instead of receiving gifts.  FSG will be running a  Reverse Advent Calendar again this year, as part of supporting our local community.  We encourage students to bring in different food items throughout November.  There will be a collection box in each form room, and more in the Sixth Form Centre.

The Reverse Advent Calendar supports the following charities:

• Shepway Foodbank
• Homeless Support Service at the Rainbow Centre
• FoodStop (delivering hot drinks, soup and sandwiches to vulnerable people in Folkestone 3 nights a week, every week throughout the year)
• Folkestone Winter Shelter (providing a safe bed and food for 12 homeless people in Shepway for 12 weeks each year over the coldest months) 

The deadline for the food parcels is Monday 1st December when they need to be brought to PR1 to be taken to the distribution centre.
