Year 5 Open Mornings 2026

Our open morning events will take place between Monday 27th April to Friday 1st May 2026, from 9:15am to 10:45am for girls in Year 5.

The prospective students, with their parents and carers, will have the opportunity to see the school in action and hear from the Principal and Senior Leadership Team about all that is on offer at FSG.

If parents/carers want their daughters to sit the Shepway test in September, then details of this will be given at these open mornings.

If you cannot make the day you have booked, or if any other details have changed contact Main Reception on 01303 251125 and we will try to accommodate you on another day and change other details as required.

All dates are now fully booked.  We are running a waiting list for each day.  If you need to be added to it, then phone main reception on 01303 251125.
Frequently Asked Questions

Please see below for the most common questions we receive about our Open Morning events.  If you have a query that is not covered here, do not hesitate to contact Main Reception on 01303 251125.

There is no parking on site.  Please park responsibly, taking into account the school is in a residential area.

If any of your party have any mobility issues and need a reserved parking space, please contact the Main School Reception on 01303 251125 and we will organise this.

Yes, we recommend the prospective student attends so that they get a feel for the school.  We are open on a "working day" - your child will be able to see lessons and students and get a good understanding of what it is like to come to FSG.

We close the booking form when responses cannot be monitored.  As the Open Mornings take place during the usual school day, there is a limit to the number of people we can accommodate on site at one time.  We need to make sure that limit is not reached to make sure everyone can comfortably view the site without spaces becoming too crowded.

Every feeder primary school is emailed at the same time, and we politely request that they send the details to their parents, via letter, email and/or school newsletter.  We follow this up with a phone call to check that the email has been received.
