Welcome back!

Over the Easter break we've had another hugely successful Ski trip - this year to La Plagne in the French Alps. Conditions were perfect and  all skiers made great progress and had a lot of fun to boot!

In week 2 of the break six of our senior cadets headed off to Longmoor Camp in Surrey to attend and successfully complete their Senior Cadet Instructors Course.

This Wednesday night our National Theatre Connections Programme production of 'Cloudbusting' performs at The Gulbenkian Theatre in Canterbury.

So, much still, to look forward to over the Summer term - sports days, Cadet camps, DoE Bronze Expedition, outdoor cinema camps for Years 7 & 8 etc but inevitably the focus turns to the hard currency of education and those important public examinations. As girls head into the final straight of revision and preparation, we have every confidence in them. It is truly an honour not just to watch them flourish and grow academically but also to have front row seats in watching their journey from the wonderful girls that join us in year 7 to the fine young women they have become. As they prepare for these 'big' exams, they have all, equally, successfully balanced that with many other interests, accomplishments, awards and accolades - both at school and away from school. Huge successes recently with Young Enterprise, amazing talent on display in the Dance Show or the Spring into Song Music concert - all in the last week of term 4.   On that, congratulations to many of our students who, playing with Folkestone Optimists Hockey Club, won the national finals U16 in Nottingham on 11th April.

Our curriculum is not 'just' for exams. It is a curriculum for a life well lived and so at this time of year, as we head towards that exam season its wonderful to reflect, as a school, on how hard we all work together to affect success in both.
