Kent Award for Resilience and Emotional Wellbeing
At FSG, student wellbeing is central to everything we do - so we are thrilled that our efforts have been recognised by the school being re-awarded the Kent Award for Resilience and Emotional Wellbeing after our two year review.
The award recognises schools and community organisations across Kent that show a strong commitment to promoting emotional wellbeing and building resilience through a whole setting approach. Jointly presented by Kent County Council and The National Lottery Community Fund, the award celebrates existing good practices and encourages continued development in creating supportive, resilient environments.
Our assessor commented, "How wonderful to read the student comments explaining all the amazing opportunities that they are given and how appreciative they are to attend a school that values and responds to all their needs academically and socially. It’s so impressive to read about the wide range of extracurricular activities that are provided and how pupils have responded to this provision. The clear ethos of ‘Life at school’ and ‘Life after school’ demonstrates your care and compassion for your students enabling them to flourish and thrive."
