Hot Weather Update

Dear Parent/Carer

You may have seen that the heat warnings have been upgraded to a red heat warning for tomorrow.  There is not much more we can do as a school other than the uniform adjustments to PE kit and the additional water stations around the site.

We've also, as you'd expect, changed PE lessons to be less intense and in our shaded areas, or indoors if appropriate.

It is hot on site, but there is a bit of a breeze and the girls seem to be enjoying our open spaces and shade beneath the trees.

We'll let girls out tomorrow at 3.20 to allow time to fill up water bottles for their journey home.

CCF will be on as normal.  We'd encourage girls to wear PE kit for cadets, but they can wear combat trousers and t-shirts if they prefer. Whichever is cooler and more comfortable for them. It's not a particularly strenuous session and we'll make use of all our shaded areas - including for opening and closing parade - which will be on the lawn outside Penfold.
