Horrible Histories Club’s Oreo Cameo Workshop
Who knew an Oreo could become a work of historical art?
At our latest Horrible Histories Club workshop, students were armed with half an Oreo, a cocktail stick and a steady hand. Their challenge was to carefully scrape away the cream to create a cameo portrait of a famous figure from history – with some seriously impressive results!
After much careful judging (and remarkably little biscuit eating), Lily and Alice emerged as our winners with their fantastic portraits of William Shakespeare and Anne Frank. Alice’s Anne Frank cameo was crowned our overall winner – a tiny masterpiece in Oreo cream!
A huge well done to everyone who took part and displayed such creativity, patience and skill.
And there’s plenty more horrible history to come! Look out for future workshops, including the return of our all-time favourite William the Conqueror activity. What could possibly go wrong?
